CPC Program
CPC stands for Capital Pool Corporation. CPC’s are rapidly becoming the tool of choice for emerging businesses to gain a public listing on the TSX Venture exchange. A CPC is a publicly traded corporation with no tangible assets or operations other than holding cash. It is often generically referred to as a "blind capital pool." CPCs get listed through a conventional IPO process and then use the funds raised to evaluate and acquire an operating business. This is known as a Qualifying Transaction or QT. The resulting company can then go on to raise additional funds to carry on its business plan.
KCP is a strong supporter of the CPC program as an effective tool to provide public venture capital to small companies and an efficient, transparent and well regulated investment process to investors.
Kingsmill has successfully created and completed QTs with three CPC‘s
- Lifesciences Capital Corp (trades as BXI)
- Kingsmill Capital Ventures (trades as IC)
- Kingsmill Capital Ventures II Inc. (trades as IC)
